Surviving 2012 and Planet X

First of all: There is a long, long list of "end of time" stories that get around for years.

Is there a disaster that mankind has not yet imagined, described, drawn or filmed? Depending on the way it sees the world and time, depending on its beliefs and its scientific model, each society perceives the catastrophe differently. This is true for the future as well as for the past. Technological prospects, political discourse and stories of the end of time, all illustrate this multi-faceted reality. Within each system of interpretation, catastrophe is now assuming an unprecedented significance in the face of the globalised environmental and social uncertainties of the 21st century.
Mankind has always wondered about its future. Through works of fiction, man seeks to describe the catastrophe to come, the better to explore, expose and exorcise his fears. These apocalyptic visions give expression to our concerns and help us to prepare for the dangers that the future may hold in store.

So, how about you? How do you imagine the catastrophe to come?

Oh well guess I'll just be extremely English about the whole situation and have a nice cup of tea.

Anyway - If you like end-of-times stories then this is one for you.
