UFO’S and Ancient Artwork

image

This painting is called "The Madonna with Saint Giovannino". It was painted in the 15th century by Domenico Ghirlandaio (1449-1494) and hangs as part of the Loeser collection in the Palazzo Vecchio. Above Mary's right shoulder is a disk shaped object. Below is a blow up of this section and a man and his dog can clearly be seen looking up at the object.

Upon closer inspection, the man seems to be looking away from the UFO, behind him and over his shoulder. Or, more likely, the notably out of place object may be imagined floating above the ground between them. From either perspective, could Mary be seen as blocking the two babies from the flying saucer's view? Perhaps the dog glimpses the hovering object ~ with it's mouth open, it could even be barking at it. But what is that dark, sparkling, disassembled figure beside them ~ a dwarf, or an ethereal being?
A body, legs, head, and tail can be made out. Could this represent a type of alien, or demon? Also, Mary's halo seems a bit shadowy ~ more like a vaporous disc than a ring of light.

This and other ancient work of art with UFO's by Jason Martell, XFacts.

image

"The Annunciation" painted by Carlo Crivelli in 1486 on display in the National Gallery in London.
A familiar disk shaped object is shining a beam of light through the house wall and down onto the top of Mary's head. Much activity is going on in this painting, besides people pointing ~ filled with cryptic symbolism, the meanings lost to modern researchers.

What are the strange, ethereal, almost surreal, objects floating above Mary's doorway? Who is it peeking out from the doorway at the top of the alley stairs on the far left center? Who is lying on the bed behind Mary ~ and why aren't the people in the street looking up? What is the disturbance in the clouds, behind the UFO, exactly opposite the energy beam?

Draw Your Own Celtic Designs

This is not just an exciting step by step guide to drawing Celtic designs! Starting with an illustrated introduction to the Celts, this book has also some wonderful photographs of carvings, illustrated manuscripts, etc., and fascinating text by David James of the history of the Celts and their art.

image

The following chapters examine each of the main Celtic patterns in turn: knots, spirals, key patterns, animals and beasts, and Celtic lettering.

Each chapter opens with a large colour illustration to inspire readers in ways of incorporating the design into their own work. This is followed by a short introduction to the range of patterns that fall into this design category, along with photos of Celtic artefacts.

The rest of the chapter consists of 16 design pages, each containing a specially commissioned step-by-step artwork for readers to follow.

Beautiful to look at, and exquisitely executed in themselves, each artwork has been carefully constructed so that readers can follow its build up from start to finish with no possibility of error. The chapter on Celtic lettering contains a specially commissioned double-page artwork of the Celtic alphabet for readers to copy, and is followed by instructions on how to embellish each of the letter forms in Celtic styles.

The Visionary Art by Francene Hart

image

"Reverence for the natural environment, and experiencing the interconnectedness between all things has long guided me to create watercolor paintings of beauty and spirit. Life's continuing adventure has led me into an exciting exploration into the wisdom and symbolic imagery of Sacred Geometry. These paintings act as a bridge between this reality and a metaphorical world of healing, continuity, and transformation. I use multiple transparent watercolor glazes coupled with image overlapping techniques, and sacred geometry to produce visions of a multi-dimensional reality. It is my intention to create art that embodies the vibration of Universal Love and expresses the joy and gratitude I feel for the honor of being part of this earthwalk."

This painting is filled with symbols from Sacred Geometry. Its' intention is to celebrate the joining of Love and Power. Actually more than that, it is meant to honor the possibility of creating a new kind of Love and Power, based not on power over, but with power to... power to create a new kind of sharing... power to discover a new paradigm for living... and power to birth into being new possibilities for the coming age of Peace and Enlightenment.

Fantasy and Goddess Art by Sharon George

The Garden of Delights

Our Goddess is found in a tree, one that has gracefully bent and twined to enthrone; as Nature generously supports and heals the creatures that live within Her. There is a stone path, crossing a stream, that leads into the wild. Life of all kinds, dragonflies, butterflies, birds, keep the goddess company as she enjoys the early evening in her garden.

There is no original sin here, no guilt, no obligatory kneeling down, and no punishment meted by a jealous god. Life does not demand or respond to such perversions of spirit. There is only joy, abandoned dance, unmeasured generosity, and a tender love shared by all who enter. These spiritual gifts, lit by our sun, embraced by warm, rich earth, watered with the tears of angels, make her garden grow...and yours too.

Carole Bourdo Art

image

Carole, who was born in 1938, spent ten years in close association with the Chippewa people some 50 miles south of her native Chicago.

These early, formative years left an indelible print and she fondly remembers the old Chief Evergreen.

Carol's work is not limited to traditional presentation on canvas and art board. She has painted scenery on cabanas, illustrated a children's book, and painted a 40 foot eagle on Colorado Springs Bi-Centennial Building in 1976.

Recognizing the need for authenticity, Carole studies people and animals in their own habitat. She attends and participates in Indian Pow Wows, historic Indian and Mountain Man Rendezvous.

She has traveled to Alaska to study and photograph the grizzly and eagle in their natural habitat.
She has conducted research on the Indian tribes at the Anthropology Archives of the Smithsonian Institute and has done research on the Bald and Golden eagles at the National Eagle Research Center where three of the prints are on permanent display.

She is a strong supporter of the Native American Rights Fund and has participated on the National Support committee.

Carole's ability to blend absolute reality with spiritual essence is without peer. She is a great talent with complete dedication to her field and a tireless proponent of her work and her belief.

Jean-Luc Bozzoli Visionary Art

Jean-Luc Bozzoli, born in France and living in Hawaii for the past 36 years, is an intriguing "visionary". These computer-generated images gives us a glimpse into the magical realms of his imagination, and display his fascination with dolphins and sacred geometry.

The Dreamtime that I experience becomes like a gateway, opening to a world of parallel dimensions. Venturing into these realms with excitement, I communicate information beyond mere rational words, touching the parts of our mind that knows the profound simplicity of Truth and Beauty, that I believe holds the consciousness that links us all together. Our hearts can open to the realization of who we are, where we have been and where we are going.

Our inner and outer worlds are revealed as profoundly beautiful forms, subtle shapes and organic geometries. These are in constant motion, expanding patterns of sound and color.

My continuing quest to perfect my skills and methods has led me to the use of state of the art technology as a means to render for the viewer, a direct experience of these unseen patterns. Patterns that connect us to inner-dimensional travel via a computer animated odyssey.

My hope is that these surrealistic visions might open us to worlds within worlds and inspire us to visualize our self-realizing universe.

The Golden Brush

Zhang Cuiying was born in Shanghai, China on May 13, 1962. She began painting at the age of ten under the guidance of many well known traditional Chinese artists, who helped lay a solid foundation for her in the traditional use of Chinese ink and brush.

Chinese painting has a long history far beyond human written records and it is in many ways like traditional Chinese Qigong, a method of cultivating the mind and body. In traditional Chinese painting, painters are also advised to use Qi (life force energy) with their brushes in a graceful way. They often meditate a lot and have longevity. Zhang’s teachers have all lived more than one hundred years.

image

Unlike classical Western art which focuses on capturing the details of the subject matter like the interplay of light and color, Chinese traditional art seeks to capture the feelings and nature of the subject matter. Furthermore, Chinese paintings manifest the inner nature of the painter since every brush stroke carries the painter’s own message. Therefore, the painter must have a high standard of virtue and character.

Zhang’s paintings are simple, yet elegant, pure, and divine. She says "Chinese painting is like silent music, that enables one to experience a journey that is rich with vitality."

The Way

Give this a minute and enjoy a relaxing atmosphere: it goes from simple and formless to amazing very quickly (wait for the soaring ink strokes).

The uploader 'aladdin518' wrote: The animation reflects an ancient Taoist view of the world as a constant changing process or metamorphosis of forms rather than seemingly isolate entities. And the law of changing is rather seemingly chaotic and spontaneous and yet under an elusive deterministic order which somewhat matches the notion of fractal in Chaos theory. Created 2003 using Maya.

Josephine Wall: Signs of the Zodiac Paintings

Eye Candy!

Josephine Wall brings her unique art style to her new Zodiac collection. Each astrological sign is an exploration of personal traits illustrated as only this talent can present.

Aries: March 21 - April 20

image

The first sign of the Zodiac, Aries symbolizes new beginnings. Arians tend to be aggressive and direct in expressing themselves, and are happiest when they can get something started and lead the way. Their key phrase is "I am." Ruled by the planet Mars, this fire sign is adventurous, impulsive and full of energy. When first meeting the "ram," one's impression is of someone who's exciting, vibrant and extremely talkative. Arians happily offer their opinions on any and all topics, naturally migrating toward the center of the action. When associating yourself with an Aries, you are destined for a wild ride, if in fact you can keep up with their pace.

Taurus: April 21 - May 21

image

Taurus, the sign of the bull, is the one that others count on to come through in the clutch. Driven by determination and power, Taureans tend to be successful because of the perseverance that motivates them. Everyone seems to know that a Taurus has a temper, but rarely do they get to see it. Taureans are patient, gentle and possess an enormous amount of common sense. Those born under this sign usually get all that they pursue in life. Being a fixed sign, Taureans do not adapt well to change; they simply cannot be rushed into anything new. Ruled by Venus, Taureans are romantics whose sensibility keeps their feet on the ground even while they dream among the stars.

Gemini: May 22 - June 21

image

Gemini, the sign of the twins, represents duality. Giminis will take either side of an argument, not because they feel strongly about their position, but simply for the fun of it. They are adaptable and flexible, and require numerous amusements and interests at once to satisfy their quick, changeable minds. Ruled by Mercury, the hallmark of Gemini is self-expression. To the world they are cheerful and optimistic, but those who are close to a Gemini are familiar with the opposite, moody side of this sign, too. A Gemini will shower you with generosity, refill your glass, and toast to life!

Cancer: June 22 - July 22

image

Cancer rules the Fourth House of the Zodiac, known as the “House of Family and Home.” This house represents the effects of our earliest experiences and of the nurturing we receive as children, and the way this anchors and guides our lives. Anyone lucky enough to be within a Cancerian’s inner circle enjoys a secure sense of comfort and belonging. Cancer is a water sign associated with the moon, a combination that leads to shifting moods and deeply felt emotions. Though they may sometimes appear impervious on the outside, perhaps even irritable, inside they’re all heart, kind and loving to the core.

Leo: July 23 - August 22

image

Leo’s brightest star is Regulus, Latin for “little king,” which describes perfectly this sign’s approach to life. Leos are natural leaders and performers who expect the best from themselves and others. Like the sun, which governs this sign, Leos are warm-hearted, direct, and most comfortable being at the center of things. Luxury and comfort are considered necessities for a Leo, and are shared generously with friends. When their fiery temper is aroused, their “roar” can be deafening, but passes just as quickly with no lingering resentment. Proud and self-confident, Leos are excellent managers and entrepreneurs, and their energy and enthusiasm are a ray of sunshine to all.

Virgo: August 23 - September 22

image

The phrase “you reap what you sow” sums up the Virgo way of thinking, as well as the sign’s history. In ancient times, agriculture was symbolized by the virgin, whose purity and singleness of purpose bore fruit for the individual as well as the common good. Virgo is marked by continual improvement, action, and practicality; people of this sign are famously conscientious in all aspects of their lives. Ruled by Mercury, planet of communication, Virgos can organize their own and others’ thoughts and ideas and express them intelligently and concisely. They are unswerving in their care for anyone who is truly in need; you can always depend on kind and responsible Virgo.

Libra: September 23 - October 23

image

Libra, the only inanimate sign of the Zodiac, is ruled by Venus. Modern-day astrologers often view Libra as the most generous of the Zodiac because it represents the "Zenith of the Year," when the harvest of the spring's hard work is reaped. Because Venus is the goddess of love and beauty, Librans admire beauty in many forms, such as art, music, and even people. Librans are very likeable due to their captivating charm. Being an air sign, Librans are intellectual and continuously seek out knowledge and new ideas. Born under the sign of the Scales, their spirits thrive on balance and harmony and are most at peace when the world around them is orderly and serene.

Scorpio: October 24 - November 22

image

At the heart of the constellation Scorpius, the red giant star Antares burns with a fiery intensity matched by astrological Scorpio’s passionate temperament. Ruled by Pluto, Greek God of the Netherworld, Scorpio is intimately connected with the extremes of life, with beginnings and endings, conception and lasting legacies.
As the sign of purpose and success, the dedication and drive of Scorpio is unmatched. Of course, if a Scorpio’s anger is aroused, or she feels out of control and disordered, the sting of rebuke will be unmistakable! Scorpios thrive in pursuits that require intuition and deeper understanding, including medicine, spirituality, and philosophy.

Sagittarius: November 23 - December 21

image

Sagittarians are energetic and naturally outgoing, achieving each goal through positive thinking. These "archers" seek knowledge and wisdom and never tire of the quest for what is yet to come. Challenges keep a Sagittarian's spirit thriving, and once met, a target is set for the next goal, and the next. Astrologers believe that being born under this fire sign gives Sagittarians the gift of providence - that luck protects them. Under the jovial rule of Jupiter, they make for charming and agreeable companions. Their key phrase is "I see." Never dwelling on what has happened today, a Sagittarian constantly believes that something wonderful will happen tomorrow. Sagittarians have such a zest for life that they make you want to hang on with them and enjoy the ride.

Capricorn: December 22 - January 19

image

Capricorn’s form of half goat, half fish derives from ancient Babylonian mythology, in which Ea, the Sea-Goat and Lord of Wisdom, emerges from his home in the sea to bring civilization and knowledge to mankind. In the zodiac, the placement of the constellation represents high achievement. Steady, purposeful, and long-sighted, Capricorns have a plan for the future and set their sights high. They seek security and certainty, and insist that rules be followed. But don’t let that fool you into thinking Capricorns are all work and no play: they have a lively wit, a dry sense of humor, and that rare combination, creativity coupled with organization!

Aquarius: January 20 - February 18

image

Aquarians follow their own path, marching to the beat of their own drum. They are happy to have you along, but would never force their way on anyone. Their congenial attitude and habit of setting trends ensure they are seldom lacking for company. Logical and detached, they can seem aloof, but will work tirelessly to improve conditions for all humankind. New ideas pour freely from their fertile, far-reaching minds as they search for knowledge and truth. In Greek mythology, Aquarius was the Rain God who poured water onto a parched world below.

Pisces: February 19 - March 20

image

Neptune, God of the Sea and master of illusion and mystery, rules Pisces. Those born under this sign have an affinity for the performing arts, music, writing…anything that allows them to dream and create a more beautiful world. This same tendency toward illusion can also be expressed in self-delusion, as Pisces would rather ignore anything that isn’t in keeping with their lovely vision of the world. Pisceans possess a high level of emotional intelligence, easily perceiving the feelings of those around them, which makes them wonderful teachers and guides of the soul.
