Self Help: An Easy Guide to a Healthy Aura

Most of us are unaware of the health of our auras or life energy. We go about our daily business without ever giving a second thought to a very vital part of our lives. For the majority of people auras are intangible, invisible the notion of life energy is purely an idea or abstract concept, not a thing that can be monitored and measured easily like blood pressure or insulin levels. Yet life energy or auras are just as real and important as any other measurement of our health and well being.

Just because you can't see an aura doesn't mean it isn't there. You can't see a radio wave or an x-ray, but you know they exist.

The truth is that auras and life energy can be measured with today's instruments. Modern medicine, being what it is, just hasn't made the technology widely available. Anyone interested in maintaining a healthy aura today must rely on others capable of seeing or sensing life energies.

Fortunately there are many practices available which we can utilize ourselves to help insure a healthy and balanced aura.

Psychic Meditation

Psychic meditation is an excellent way to begin seeing. This sort of meditation consists of the practice of creating space for yourself. By creating space, you let yourself to stop and take a deeper look at things around. You begin to become more aware of your energy field: your own aura. The more you practise Psychic meditation, the better and clearer your intuitions get. Of course, this calls for some time and dedicated practice.

Where is your energy going?

At this moment, stop right where you are and see if you can count the number of things going through your head right now. If you're like most people, your attention may be divided in many places at once. You may feel rushed and impatient. You may not even want to take the time to really experience this exercise! But just stop and notice what comes up, and where your attention is going.

When your attention is divided, so is your energy. Another way to say this is wherever your attention goes. Remember, together with those thoughts, there also goes a lot of your energy. So, when you are thinking about your kid at school or college, you transmit some of your energy there, to your child. When you make a mental list of things to do at the store – stuck in your car in traffic – some of your vital energies are actually going out to the supermarket....shopping!

Hence, the importance of psychic meditation in everyday life. Even short spans of meditation will help. Just take a break every now and then, breathe, and observe where your attention is. See how your body feels. Then notice things going on around you. Just make it a practice to be present to the situation you are in. You may think of psychic meditation as a mental mini-vacation.

Himalayan Bowls

Singing bowls are marvelous instruments for meditation, relaxation, music, and self improvement. The multiple harmonic overtones produced by high quality antique bronze singing bowls are beneficial to health and well being.

Tibetan singing bowls play with a great deal of variety and there is much to discover in each of these marvelous bells. You will hear many different tones and qualities in each bowl depending on how you play it and even on how you feel when you play it.

Do you prefer a deep tone or a high tone? Do you like the warmth of a medium bowl or the sharpness of a small thick bowl? Some of us love them all!

Choosing singing bowls starts with listening to yourself. Follow your personal preferences rather than any preconceived ideas you may have heard or read on the web. Theories about specific musical tones, planetary tones or chakra tones are misleading and oversimplified.

For more information, videos and sound clips of fine antique singing bowls visit Himalayan Bowls by Joseph Feinstein.
And be sure don't miss the Himalayan Bowls Playing Instructions.

Energy Vampires

How to spot people who drain away your vitality and leave you stressed out.

Some people bring unexpected lightness and comfort to your life. They crackle with energy, practically electrify you with their presence. And then there are those who leave you feeling stressed out. Or guilty. Or exhausted down to your very last molecule. I call them energy vampires, and obnoxious or meek, they come in all forms. The sob sister, for one, always considers herself the victim. The world is always against her, and she'll recount every horrible thing that has happened to her, wallowing in every perceived slight. The charmer is a constant talker or joke-teller who has to be the center of attention. The blamer, on the other hand, doles out endless servings of guilt.

And then there's the drama queen, the co-worker who claims she almost died from a high fever or the neighbor who lives in extremes of emotion—life is unbelievably good or horrifically bad.

No matter which type of energy vampire you're dealing with, you're allowed to walk away.

Foods That Fuel Your Chakras

When you think about your chakra system you probably aren't considering the types of foods that you consume. Because our chakras are energy vortexes and invisible to most of us one might well imagine that chakras would thrive on energy, prayer, or other such spiritual stuff... you know, those things that we can't see with the human eye. However, the chakras cannot sustain our human body without our help. It is important to feed and nourish the flesh in order to help support and fuel our chakras. Learn to see your Aura

There is nothing "paranormal" in the Universe, except our limited understanding of Nature. What we think we “know” on Earth now is just a tiny drop in the Ocean of Knowledge.

In the distant past, people admired things they could not explain and called them "miracles". Long ago, people were able to see Auras. Advanced spiritual people such as Buddha, Christ and their immediate students were painted with golden haloes around their heads, because some artists could actually see Auras. In Australia remote West Kimberleys you can find prehistoric cave paintings, many thousands of years old, depicting people with golden haloes. Nature gave us ALL we need to see Auras. All is required is the knowledge how to use your senses together with your conscious effort. If you decide not to try, you will NEVER see the Aura. On the other hand, when you SEE something for yourself, no longer will you need to rely on believing someone. You will KNOW. And you can use your knowledge to learn more.

Many great people in the past complained that "we have eyes and we do not see". Further in this document you will discover what they meant.
ANYONE can see auras to some degree. Rather than create an aura of mystery around my newly acquired skill, my approach is to show everyone what their eyes are capable of. When nearly everyone (including children) sees a similar thing, I consider this a part of our Nature and I say that it deserves our attention.

Learn to see your Aura

What is the Aura ?
Everything in the Universe seems to be just a vibration. Every atom, every part of an atom, every electron, every elementary “particle”, even our thoughts and consciousness are just vibrations. Hence, we may define the Aura as a electro-photonic vibration response of an object to some external excitation (such as an ambient light for example). This definition is sufficient for the purpose of reading Auras, providing that we can train ourselves to see the Aura vibration.

The most important property of the Aura seems to be the fact that it contains INFORMATION about the object.

Aura by Steven Peabody

Aura around living (conscious) objects (people, plants ...) changes with time, sometimes very quickly. Aura around non-living object (stones, crystals, water...) is essentially fixed, but can be changed by our conscious intent. Above facts have been observed by scientists in Russia, who have been using Kirlian effect to study Auras for the last 50 years.

Experiencing Auras

In fact, we live in a sea of energy. Everything is energy, including you. The field of energy around your physical body forms your aura. Every thought, feeling and experience you have affects the vibration of this energy field.

Everyone, everything -- even each place -- has an aura. It is possible for you to become aware of these vibrations. Practices like spiritual healing, learning how to meditate, and developing psychic awareness all support you in becoming conscious of energy.

Increasing your awareness begins the process of healing. Eventually you will even be able to support others healing and becoming more conscious. And this journey of becoming aware of auras begins with choosing to heal yourself...

It can be practised without tearing down walls or carrying out renovations as it is an art of the placement of things. Vasthu is not magic, superstition, a religion or religious ritual, and does not work on a belief system. It is also not a question of faith but a fact of life.

Q: Over the past few years vastu shastra has become a very popular phrase, yet few have a real understanding of the meaning and philosophy behind it. How would you define the term vastu shastra?

A: In literal terms, vastu means 'to dwell' or 'to exist' and shastra means science. There are two words associated with this science - vastu and vaastu. Vastu means pure, subtle energy and vaastu means embodied material energy. When vastu or subtle energy goes into vibration of its own, many objects of nature such as buildings, temples, idols, etc. come into being. These material forms are called vaastu. Today, vaastu is commonly used to denote buildings.

In the present time, businesses are developing very fast and small towns are developing into industrial cities. Production is increasing day by day, new offices are opening on the daily basis but what will happen if you open a office investing lot of money and with new hopes and it does not work, then?

We have to take care of the following points while studying about the Commercial Vastu. (English)

Until recent years modern society has viewed much of the world's ancient architecture and art as "simply decorative" or, in a general sense, as a tribute to God; not that it might have any "practical" function in helping us to understand tha nature of the world we live in.

However, recent studies in the field of sacred architecture (Vastu Shastra) by men like Keith Critchlow of the Royal College of Art in London have uncovered hidden dimensions revealing a far-reaching connection between architecture and the nature of existence.

Critchlow, perhaps the best-known advocate of the theory of sacred architecture, believes that basic architectural principles on the physical level are integral with structure on the metaphysical level.

Sun Bear Medicine Wheel

This is the special Medicine Wheel given to Sun Bear. Learning, working with and meditating with this Medicine Wheel has brought many people to a closer connection with All Our Relations, and with the Father of all fathers, our Creator.

There are 36 Stones in this Wheel. The first one, in the very center, is for Creator and in honor of Creator.

The first Stone of the Sun Bear Medicine Wheel is in honor of Creator, represents Creator, is Creator in the Wheel. In the Wheel building cermony this Stone is placed first, with prayer and song, and in the very center of the space you have marked out for the Wheel.
Since Creator is all things, there is no particular totem or mineral for this position. The item for Creator does not need to be a Stone. Wheels have been built around an object sacred to the group, for example, a Bear skull; or a sacred Fire, Tree, or cluster of crystals.

I want to share this quotation from page 25 of Dancing With The Wheel by Sun Bear, Wabun Wind, and Crysalis Mulligan: "The Creator is the beginning of life and its ending, the Great Mystery within all things and around all things, the Universal Energy"............"In many Native languages the word for Creator......... "was a verb, indicating the movement, the activity, the motion, the pulsation of this sacred, never-ending force."

There are Seven Stones in the Center Circle around Creator. They are for Father Sun, Mother Earth, Grandmother Moon, Fire (Thunderbird), Earth (Turtle), Air (Butterfly), Water (Frog).

Making your own medicine wheel (a modern one):

We started our wheel with a ceremony to purify the area, give thanks to The Creator, and to ask permission from Mother Earth and the spirits of The Mesa to build there. We prayed and did ceremonies over the site for one month before starting construction.

Then, the circle was laid out and the sod removed by hand. Next, landscape fabric was installed to retard native plant growth and to keep the gravel from sinking into the ground.

Two hundred and twenty nine Belgian block (the granite stones lining the pathways) were laid as borders for the pathways (81 stones in the outer circle alone!) and the quadrants filled in with colored stones: white marble in the North; yellow quartz beach pebbles in the East; red lava stones in the South; and black lava stones in the West.

Human Spiritual Structure

This work-in-progress is an attempt to outline the physico-psycho-spiritual structure of human beings. When a soul takes on a physical body its being is composed of various levels, which can loosely be refered to as the physical body, the mind, and the original spirit.

© by Alex Grey

Although the spirit, or pure consciousness, is the primary aspect of the being, all three are important. Events at one level can affect the others, and complex causal relationships are possible.

It is assumed that the purpose of a soul taking on a human body is to work on the exploration, mastery and perfection of this structure. This process generally takes place over a series of lifetimes, in which the soul is born into different physical bodies. This work will also outline the mechanisms involved in this process, as well as various techniques that are useful to the evolving soul.

NOTE: At present these pages represent a work in progress, being still more in the form of notes than a finished work. In particular they have not in general been proofread. It is hoped that even so they may be of some interest.

Chakra Energy

A person can collect energy from several different levels of vibrations–including color–that are utilized in various parts of the body. Throughout our body we have main energy centers, which are connected to major organs or glands that govern other body parts. Each of these main energy centers are referred to as chakra–chakra is a Sanskrit word which means wheel.

A chakra is a wheel-like spinning vortex that whirls in a circular motion forming a vacuum in the center that draws in anything it encounters on its particular vibratory level.

It is said that our body contains hundred of chakras that are the key to the operation of our being. These “spinning wheels” draw-in coded information from our surroundings. Coded information can be anything from a color vibration to ultra-violet ray to a radio or micro wave to another person’s aura. In essence our chakras receive the health of our environment, including the people we are in contact with (that’s why other people’s moods have an affect on us!). As well our chakras also radiate an energy of vibration.
