UFO Disclosure: Million Fax on Washington
Obama's election as U.S. President heralds change for many Americans, but will this include changing the veil of secrecy and disinformation on UFOs and extraterrestrial visitation with transparency?
Purpose for the Million Fax on Washington:
Formal acknowledgement of an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race - Disclosure - is close at hand and already under consideration by elements within the United States Government. But it is not a fait accompli. It could be withheld due to events or loss of political will. It is critical the American people act in concert now to help close the deal. There has never been a more profound opportunity for you to make a difference and change the course of history.
How You Can Do It:
Between November 5, 2008 and January 20, 2009 - seventy-seven days - send a letter, fax and/or email to the senatorial office and transition headquarters of the President Elect Barack Obama calling for the next administration to end the Truth Embargo regarding an extraterrestrial presence and release as much relevant information to the American people as possible within reasonable constraints of national security. You won't be alone. The goal is one million.
Letters are best (all are opened, all are read), Faxes are next best ( but there is only so much fax receiving capacity), Emails are better than nothing.
Million Fax on Washington
It's the initiative of the Paradigm Research Group, established in 1996 by political activist and consultant Stephen Bassett.
Important: Please notify Paradigm Research Group (PRG at paradigmresearchgroup dot org) when you send a letter/fax/email to the President Elect. This will help PRG to generate media interest in this effort.

Did Aliens Build the Pyramids?
Jason Martell on the Discovery Channel discussing if the aliens and ET built the pyramid and other ancient structures, for which there is no scientific explanation. You know those big stone structures out in Egypt? The ones which were supposedly built to house the remains of dead pharaohs??? The ones you thought were built by the Egyptians? Well, you are probably wrong ...
There are a few nagging questions, like why do they seem to appear out of the blue around the same time? How did the Giza Pyramids attain alignment with true North with an accuracy within 1/10 of a degree?
Journey deep into the ancient world of Egyptian Pyramids, Stonehenge, Balbek in Lebanon and the giant heads of Easter Island. Was extraterrestrial technology handed down to primitive man thousands of years ago to build these massive structures? If you are a strong sceptic, it might put a small doubt in your mind.

When UFOs Arrive
'UFO Files' is a documentary television series on The History Channel that covers the mysteries of the UFO phenomena. It first aired in 2004.
'When UFOs Arrive' examines the secretive government policies for dealing with extra-terrestrial visitation – from the military reporting guideline "JANAP-146", to a curious chapter in a FEMA disaster guide on what to do in case of a UFO crash.
Duration: 44 minutes
From the cover:
Go to the limits of human experience...and beyond. From the fringes of the galaxy to our own backyards, the UFO FILES searches for evidence of life beyond our world. Tracing the long, convoluted history of UFO encounters and research, this unique series opens new windows into the controversial field.
It's all hush-hush as we track a secretive global paper trail, delving into government plans on how to deal with other-planet visitors. Searching historical records, we find that protocols are in place--from the U.S. military's JANAP-146 reporting requirements to France's Cometa files, from Chapter 13 of the FEMA Fire Officer's Guide to Disaster Control titled "Enemy Attack and UFO Potential", to a now-repealed federal law titled "Extraterrestrial Exposure".

UK Police Helicopter captures ‘UFO’ on film
Another curious story for today:
Raw video: June 08/08: Recently released footage: Welsh police confirmed that one of their helicopter crews had spotted an "unusual aircraft" flying over Cardiff earlier this month.
An investigation into the sighting had been launched, they said.
The police clarification came after tabloid newspaper The Sun reported a UFO had "attacked" a police helicopter, following it for several miles over the Bristol Channel.
"The pilot banked sharply to avoid being hit, then launched into a high-speed pursuit. But he was forced to give up the chase as the helicopter's fuel ran low -- and the UFO escaped," the tabloid reported.
The helicopter crew had described the object as "flying saucer-shaped and circled by flashing lights," it added.
That description was rather more dramatic than the official police version, which said: "South Wales Police can confirm its air support unit sighted an unusual aircraft.
"This was reported to the relevant authorities for their investigation," they added in a brief statement, avoiding the use of the term "UFO", or Unidentified Flying Object.
At the time of the incident, the helicopter with three men on board was waiting to land at the St Athan RAF base near Cardiff. The sighting reportedly took place at 00:40 am (23:40 GMT) on June 8.
South Wales Police denied there was a pursuit and indicated that the helicopter crew was never in any danger.
A Ministry of Defence spokesman said it had heard nothing about the incident.
"But it is certainly not advisable for police helicopters to go chasing what they think are UFOs," he added.

Alien army by the Sun (WITH VIDEO).
A shaken soldier told last night how he saw THIRTEEN UFOs spinning in the skies above his military barracks. Corporal Mark Proctor was among three squaddies who spotted the objects while out on night patrol. He filmed them on his mobile phone and reported the close encounter to Army top brass.
Well, and last but not least: "Nasa film UFO falling to earth and hitting the ground", found yesterday at LiveLeak, posted here to sharpen your mind ...
Looks cool, don't u agree?
But no, it's not an UFO. That is the Genesis probe that had its parachutes fail on reentry. This was in Utah a few years ago.
See the report, and video, by MSNBC and/or the article by Space.com.
So, don't believe online videos for everything! Too often troll people, some of those weird stalker types, try to sensationalize stuff, also in that case.

10 Close Encounters
On Sunday, May 18, NBC's Dateline aired a UFO special titled "10 Close Encounters Caught on Tape", which presented a number of the more famous UFO cases in which video or photos of the event were recorded.
From "Star Trek" to "Star Wars" - we've always been fascinated by the idea that -- just maybe -- we're not alone in this great big universe of ours.
But what if you actually had a "close encounter" with a UFO? You could reach out to the "Men in Black," but more likely you'd reach for your camera. After all, the camera, doesn't lie. Does it?
You be the judge as we count down the 10 most out-of-this-world '"close encounters" we could find -- from Texas to New Zealand, to the "Belgian Triangle."
Below you can view all the video clips that ran on NBC's Dateline, or visit their website 10 Close Encounters Caught On Tape.
1. McMinnville Photos
In 1950, a farmer and his wife photographed what remains to this day one of the clearest photographs of an alleged UFO ever taken. UFO investigators have repeatedly authenticated the photos but skeptics think they are nothing more than a hoax – a model hung from the telephone wires above. Did an actual alien spacecraft visit McMinnville, Oregon? Perhaps the farmer and his wife merely photographed a plane or helicopter, thinking it was out-of-this-world. Or maybe, it was all an attention-grabbing hoax. What do you think?
2. Galactic encounter
The year was 1966 and on board the tiny Gemini IX spacecraft, two astronauts, Pete Conrad and Dick Gordon, noticed something strange outside one of the windows. The photos they took spawned a debate that continues to this day: exactly what did the astronauts see?
3. Florida mystery
On the gulf coast of Florida, in the town of Gulf Breeze, a UFO phenomenon was born. It was 1987 and some incredibly clear photos of what appear to be alien spacecrafts began to emerge. For almost 10 years, the strange sightings of lights in the sky and crafts continued. But is it possible it was all a big hoax? You be the judge.

For decades the Ministry of Defence kept what it knew about UFOs locked away in its archives. Now, the contents of what have been called Britain's X-Files are finally being revealed.
First read this story:
As I leafed through hundreds of official UFO report forms it became obvious the vast majority of sightings could easily be explained.
For example, staff and customers at a pub in Tunbridge Wells reported seeing a UFO with "red and green flashing lights" moving across the sky. When asked to describe the direction of movement their answer was "Gatwick".
Aircraft, bright stars and planets, satellites and space debris all stand out as the most common explanation for UFO reports.
A small number have been revealed as hoaxes or hallucinations.
But a hard-core of 5-10% continues to defy explanation.
Despite the mystery that continues to surround those that remain "unidentified", the papers reveal how little time and effort was spent by the MoD to investigate them.
Read the whole article: Dear MoD: where is ET? by Dr David Clarke, BBC News.
Do a Google News search for 'British UFO' or 'Britain's X-Files' and you'll find hundreds of articles from today ... who says ufology is dead?
The 160 files – the first eight of which, covering 1978-1987, are published toda. The British Ministry of Defence (MoD) have been released to the public via a specially created website at the National Archives. The files are downloadable PDFs, but also on site you'll find extra information and context from Nick Pope and Dr David Clarke.
The files contain a wide range of UFO-related documents covering the years 1978–2002. So if you want to find out more about lights in the sky over Waterloo Bridge, near misses by pilots, crop circles - and what the UK government thought of it all - this is the place to start.
See the UFO files from The National Archives.
Below is a good UFO documentary from the History Channel.
Flying saucers ... Close encounters ... Top-secret government files ... the Royal family. See the amazing story of Britain's X-Files as it examine the bizarre and intriguing history of Britain's UFO phenomenon.
The journey takes in skeptical prime ministers, senior RAF officers, and Royal believers Prince Philip and Lord Mountbatten. It begins in 1950, when Clement Attlee's government established the extraordinary Flying Saucer Working Party, and ends in 2000, when the Ministry of Defense disbanded its UFO intelligence unit.

UFO’S and Ancient Artwork
This painting is called "The Madonna with Saint Giovannino". It was painted in the 15th century by Domenico Ghirlandaio (1449-1494) and hangs as part of the Loeser collection in the Palazzo Vecchio. Above Mary's right shoulder is a disk shaped object. Below is a blow up of this section and a man and his dog can clearly be seen looking up at the object.
Upon closer inspection, the man seems to be looking away from the UFO, behind him and over his shoulder. Or, more likely, the notably out of place object may be imagined floating above the ground between them. From either perspective, could Mary be seen as blocking the two babies from the flying saucer's view? Perhaps the dog glimpses the hovering object ~ with it's mouth open, it could even be barking at it. But what is that dark, sparkling, disassembled figure beside them ~ a dwarf, or an ethereal being?
A body, legs, head, and tail can be made out. Could this represent a type of alien, or demon? Also, Mary's halo seems a bit shadowy ~ more like a vaporous disc than a ring of light.

Norway in UFO Photographs
The Hessdalen region in Norway is recognized worldwide as a location where anomalistic luninous events happen frequently. In order to be a stimulus for the long-awaited, complete, and up-to-date census of photographed activity in the area, a preliminary catalogue of pictures, films and videos of alleged UFO phenomena obtained in Norway 1900-2005 has been prepared. This catalogue places the Hessdalen phenomena into proper historical and national perspective during the two last centuries, in relation to other unidentified events in the country. It is intended to serve as a reference for observational anomalous (luminous and non-luminous, explained and unexplained) aerial phenomena in Norway.
Here is the original PDF (15 MB): Norway in UFO Photographs.
See also: Project Hessdalen
Hessdalen is a small valley in the central part of Norway. At the end of 1981 through 1984, residents of the Valley became concerned and alarmed about strange, unexplained lights that appeared at many locations throughout the Valley. Hundreds of lights were observed. At the peak of activity there were about 20 reports a week.
What shall this "phenomena" be called? Earthlight? Min-min light? Unknown light? - Or, just: The "Hessdalsphenomena".

UFOs in the Bible
'UFOs in the Bible' was a special about possible paranormal explanations for events that occurred in the bible. Through intensive reinterpretation of early religious documents, researchers believe that they have found evidence of ancient UFO activity. From Elijah's flying "chariots of fire" and Ezekiel's "wheels within wheels in the sky" to the enigmatic aerial phenomenon that lead Moses during the Exodus, we apply a modern perspective to the writings of the Bible in the context of UFOs.
I thought it was rather funny and entertaining. My religious ideals aren't going to be bothered by a documentary but others may be upset by the one-sided view.
Duration: 43 minutes.
Note: Guy Malone, who was interviewed for the special, has a website set up about his appearance. He claims to have been misrepresented by the episode and provides what he claims to be the full answers to questions that he was asked.

Roswell Confessions: New Witness Testimony
Roswell Confessions: New Witness Testimony featuring five exclusive new video interviews about the so-called Roswell incident, in which a purported UFO crashed near Roswell, N.M., in 1947.
The interviews, which premiered Aug. 20, deal with the supposed crash, with the alleged military containment and recovery of what ufologists called "memory material" and supposed crash debris and with what the respondents claim was the high level of security surrounding all phases of a cleanup operation.
U.S. Army intelligence officer Lt. John P. "Jack" Trowbridge talks for the first time about his handling of the material and describes how it looked and felt. Other new accounts allege the Air Force used death threats against civilian eyewitnesses and their families to silence them and that alien bodies were recovered and that one of them survived the crash. (The Air Force has long denied the allegations and in the 1990s put out a report saying that the supposed UFO was actually the wreckage of a top-secret spy balloon that was part of the U.S. government's Project Mogul, designed to spy on the then-Soviet Union.) -- Source: Si Fi Channel

Conspiracy? Area 51
In southern Nevada, there exists a 575 square mile block of land that goes by many names: The Box, Paradise Ranch, Groom Lake, Watertown Strip and Dreamland. But most refer to this mysterious region as Area 51. Since the late 1950’s the skies above Dreamland have been home to an array of unidentified flying objects. Locals here know that sightings of curios lights and other unexplained phenomena are commonplace. In 1989, the revelations of Bob Lazar, a Las Vegas resident, brought the strange goings-on at Area 51 to a national audience. He claimed to have amazing inside information on the stark terrain 90 miles north of Las Vegas. Known as Area 51, this outpost is one of the most mysterious locations on the face of the earth, that until recently the government denied its existence.
Lazar wasn’t the first to claim that something out of the ordinary was happening at Area 51. Rumors about UFO sightings in the Nevada desert had been spreading for years. For those who defend Lazar and his accounts of testing UFO’s explains the extreme security over the military base. For those who discount his revelations believe there is a more plausible reason why the government had been keeping the activities at Area 51 from the general public. The base, built at the height of the Cold War, housed advanced military testing of cutting edge aviation technology. The secrecy wasn’t to keep the American public in the dark, but to keep Russians from spying on secret testing of this technology. Frequent sightings of these advanced planes may have been the source of the UFO sightings and experts assert that the government may have perpetuated these theories to disguise the their real activities.

And last but not least KLAS-TV, the CBS affiliate in Las Vegas. I-Team Investigative Reporter George Knapp, Nevada's best-known journalist, is the guy who first broke the UFO tales back in 1989, and broke the story of Bob Lazar. The UFO stories changed Area 51 forever, and spawned all sorts of spin-offs. For 20-plus years, Knapp has investigated and reported on many subjects, but outside of Las Vegas, he is probably best known to the general public for his work on various anomalous phenomena.

Dan Aykroyd: Unplugged on UFOs
Former 'Saturday Night Live' performer and Hollywood star Dan Akroyd, who is a believer in the existence and government cover-up of alien life-forms, hosts this look into the phenomenon of UFO sightings.
'Unplugged on UFOs' is an unusual combination of an interview with a compilation of striking footage of lights in the sky and other unexplained phenomena. Akroyd shares his personal experiences in this field and also discusses recent findings with author and UFOlogist David Sereda. The movie also contains interviews with former astronaut Gordon Cooper, excerpts from a lecture by former Canadian Minister of Defense Paul Hellyer and others, including former president Ronald Reagan. But front and center is Aykroyd.
A negative thing for me: Regrettably, 'Unplugged on UFOs' undercuts itself with dubious images, like Billy Meier's discredited photos of spaceships in Switzerland. Huh ...
If you're a UFO buff then you've probably already seen this. If you haven't ... well ... take this 84 minutes and have a look. Yet still an interesting and enjoyable movie.
Soul survivor by The Guardian.
His film career may have stalled lately, but Dan Aykroyd still has his eyes on the stars. He's an avid UFO-spotter, believes in alien abductions and thinks extraterrestrials are visiting the Lake District.
Aykroyd is the "Hollywood consultant" for Mufon (it stands for Mutual UFO Network), which seems to involve keeping abreast of developments in the UFO-sighting world and promoting the organisation. "Basically, [Mufon are] scientists from all kinds of disciplines that have formed this group to analyse what is real and what is a hoax ... "

Your Personal UFO
It's been the dream of every future-looking child since the 1900s - a personal, flying car! Now, this may no longer be part of a dream ...
No, the "M200X volantor" is not an alien invader. It's built for two. Basic models will hover about 10 feet off of the ground. And it is priced to move, at a low, low $125,000 (options not included). A fully-stocked model, including higher flight-ceiling and a "rescue configuration capable of docking with skyscrapers" will run more like $450,000.
They expect to make the Volantor available for purchase in 2008.
And yes - huh - I want one of those ...
