Office Yoga

Working in an office or at a computer for prolonged periods of time can put strain on the neck, shoulder and back muscles which in turn can lead to tension and stiffness. This tension can cause headaches, as well as back, neck and shoulder pain. If left unattended, it could also impact your ability to function effectively at work and your overall quality of life. Simple techniques such as Office Yoga may help alleviate the pain and other symptoms by releasing tension and increasing muscle strength and flexibility.

Take a few minutes for yourself and incorporate some Office Yoga into your daily routine.

San Isidoro de León

The Royal Pantheon (Panteón de los Reyes) located at the Royal Collegiate Church of San Isidoro (Real Colegiata de San Isidoro) is considered the number one historic religious monument in Spain and one of the top historic sites in the world. It is a burial place of 40 kings, queens and princes of Leon and Castile, and the tombs are numbered and catalogued. Napoleon’s troops when they were going through Spain, tried to carry all the sarcophagi with them, only five tombs remain to this day.

The largest treasure of the Royal Pantheon are the Romanesque frescoes on the walls and ceiling that have not been restored since their creation and are considered more precious than the frescoes of the Sistine chapel and still have their original bright colors. These frescoes were painted in the 12th century by a French artist whose name is unknown, and are the best example of Romanesque paintings in Spain. They show the circle of life of Christ: his birth, King Herod’s massacre of innocents, Christ is surrounded by evangelists with cow’s heads, the last supper, apocalypse, gates of paradise, crucifixion. One of the arches is painted with a yearly calendar.

The church San Isidoro in León (northern Spain) is doubtlessly one of the most important stations along the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela. San Isidoro, the coronation church of the Castilian-Leonesic dynasty, is famous because of the comprehensive building sculpture that pervades the structure both in the interior and exterior.
On mouseover of the floor plan or the tracings, individual areas are highlighted in colour. After clicking on these areas, the user is directed to pop up windows with respective detail photographs and written information.
