It all began 4,500 years ago, when a civilisation that knew nothing of iron tools, the wheel or pulleys built one of the most mysterious monuments in the entire history of humankind: the Pyramid of Khufu in Egypt.
How did they do it? Nobody alive today knows with any certainty.

The secret of the construction of the pyramid of Khufu in Egypt has always held people in fascination. Numerous theories have been put forward but none has yetstood up to analysis.

Eight years ago, the architect Jean-Pierre Houdin had a flash of intuition and developed a revolutionary theory. Considering Khufu' monumental undertaking as the first industrial construction project in history, he turned to Dassault Systèmes technology to test his hypotheses and feed his thought processes. So it was that he joined the 'Passion for Innovation' programme.

Having demonstrated the validity of the theory with the aid of their scientific 3D solutions, Dassault Systèmes invite you to enjoy an extraordinary journey through time and space. Relive the Great Pyramid construction project in real-time 3D!

Upon closer examination they look like eggs from the outside, but are very shiny and black on the inside.

Mathematician Suggests Extra Dimensions are Time-like by PhysOrg.
In a recent study, mathematician George Sparling of the University of Pittsburgh examines a fundamental question pondered since the time of Pythagoras, and still vexing scientists today: what is the nature of space and time? After analyzing different perspectives, Sparling offers an alternative idea: space-time may have six dimensions, with the extra two being time-like.

Lonesome Highway to Another World? by The New York Times.

This is Alien Country, where more U.F.O.’s are sighted each year than at any other place on the planet, at least according to Larry Friedman of the Nevada Commission on Tourism. A sign outside Rachel declares Nevada State Route 375 to be the Extraterrestrial Highway, the name given to the road in 1996. Renaming the road, the tourism commission had hoped at the time, would draw travelers to the austere and remote reaches of south-central Nevada, where old atomic bomb test sites, secret Defense Department airstrips and huge, sequestered tracts of military land create a marketable mystique.

Ellensburg Unexplained by Daily Record.
Many residents have seen some strange things flying over the Kittitas Valley. A vast number are skeptics and think perhaps what they saw came possibly from the U.S. Army Yakima Training Center. Others are pretty sure what they saw was not from around this neck of the galaxy. “It is easy to joke about UFOs, until you’ve seen one,” said Ellensburg resident Sue Marvin, who saw three dome-shaped objects over Manastash Ridge on July 31, 2005.
