Sun Bear Medicine Wheel
This is the special Medicine Wheel given to Sun Bear. Learning, working with and meditating with this Medicine Wheel has brought many people to a closer connection with All Our Relations, and with the Father of all fathers, our Creator.
There are 36 Stones in this Wheel. The first one, in the very center, is for Creator and in honor of Creator.
The first Stone of the Sun Bear Medicine Wheel is in honor of Creator, represents Creator, is Creator in the Wheel. In the Wheel building cermony this Stone is placed first, with prayer and song, and in the very center of the space you have marked out for the Wheel.
Since Creator is all things, there is no particular totem or mineral for this position. The item for Creator does not need to be a Stone. Wheels have been built around an object sacred to the group, for example, a Bear skull; or a sacred Fire, Tree, or cluster of crystals. | Honoring the Four Directions by Dawn Dark Mountain

"was a verb, indicating the movement, the activity, the motion, the pulsation of this sacred, never-ending force."
There are Seven Stones in the Center Circle around Creator. They are for Father Sun, Mother Earth, Grandmother Moon, Fire (Thunderbird), Earth (Turtle), Air (Butterfly), Water (Frog). |

Making your own medicine wheel (a modern one):

 | We started our wheel with a ceremony to purify the area, give thanks to The Creator, and to ask permission from Mother Earth and the spirits of The Mesa to build there. We prayed and did ceremonies over the site for one month before starting construction.
Then, the circle was laid out and the sod removed by hand. Next, landscape fabric was installed to retard native plant growth and to keep the gravel from sinking into the ground.
Two hundred and twenty nine Belgian block (the granite stones lining the pathways) were laid as borders for the pathways (81 stones in the outer circle alone!) and the quadrants filled in with colored stones: white marble in the North; yellow quartz beach pebbles in the East; red lava stones in the South; and black lava stones in the West. |

Hot News or Hoax?
The Loch Ness Metaphor, a Monstrous Mystery by Herald News. (English)
The sole incident of my own three days there came as I walked above the water in the rain and heard a very loud splash. I remember looking down then to see a fairly substantial set of ripples. How substantial, given the odd and oblique perspectives of the loch from the heights around it, remains to be seen ... as do any actual remains of any actual monster.
Who Built the Moon? by New Dawn Magazine. (English)
In Who Built the Moon?, Knight and Butler raise some fascinating and challenging questions, foremost: Could it be that the Moon is artificial? Could it even be hollow? And does the Moon really exist through some happy accident, or is a blueprint apparent – and if so, who was the architect?
An interview with Christopher Knight's latest book "Who Built the Moon?".
Supernatural Sightings? by New Straits Times. (English)
| They are a team like no other and their members are made up of religious teachers and healers from Malaysia and neighbouring countries. They are the paranormal team, but unlike the A-Team or the SWAT team, their job is rather unique. Believe it or not, they deal with beings and happenings not many would want to encounter, in the seen and unseen world. According to ustaz Safuan Abu Bakar, the team has captured beings ranging from mermaids, toyols and jins to the legendary Bigfoot that is making a name for itself in Johor. |

Black Holes: Solving Mysteries Creates More Mysteries by Space.com. (English)
Black holes exist in at least two different sizes, according to astronomers. Stellar black holes, formed from the death and gravitational collapse of a massive star, weigh in at 10 to 20 solar masses. Dwarfing the stellar type, supermassive black holes hold millions to billions the mass of our Sun, and lurk at the centers of many galaxies. It remains unclear whether a middleweight class exists, as some astronomers have suggested.
Asteroid Approaches Earth: Destruction or Delight? by VOA News. With Audio. (English)
A major asteroid passed by the Earth this week, and another is heading this way.
We experienced this week what astrophysicist Ben Oppenheimer and others are calling, in cosmic terms, a close encounter. A large asteroid known as 2004-XP14 came within about 435,000 kilometers of Earth, about the distance between the Earth and the moon.
