Beast of …

... Astonished, Kevin Taylor of Rushfield, Potters Bar, had the presence of mind to capture the moment on film before the beast disappeared into the undergrowth. Although at a glance the black shape in the pictures he filmed could be mistaken for a common moggy, Mr Taylor, reckons that it is actually much larger.
The footage shows the creature, possibly the elusive Beast of Brookmans Park, turn and run off in a distinctly cat-like manner.
And to get a greater sense of the animal's size, Mr Taylor measured the grass in the field behind at 25 inches high ...
