Huna - The Lost Secrets Of Ancient Hawaiian

image

What is Huna: In Hawai'i, the teaching of Huna was originally called Ho'omana (to make "Mana", or life force energy). The word H'oo means to make.
The word "Mana" means life force energy. Equivalent to Ki (as in Aikido), Chi (as in Tai Chi) or Shakti or Prana in the Sanskrit language. You may use another word that you prefer, meaning Life Force Energy. The Hawaiians call it Mana.

Taken together, the word Ho'omana means to empower or empowerment. When you have Life Force Energy you are empowered, are you not?

Huna - Ancient Hawaiian Magical Shamanism & Healing. (English)

Huna is a Hawaiian word meaning "secret," but it also refers to the esoteric wisdom of Polynesia. Kupua is another Hawaiian word and it refers to a specialized healer who works with the powers of the mind and the forces of nature. In that respect it is very similar to the Siberian Tungusic word "shaman".
The understanding of Huna described here comes from the kupua tradition of the Kahili family from the island of Kauai, through Serge Kahili King, who was adopted as the grandson of Joseph Kahili and trained in his tradition.

The Lower self: The unconscious, subconscious self where the emotions reside. This is the shadow and is the part that gathers the sacred Mana the power which is used to create. The lower self is where the emotions and memory are, it is not logical it forms literal deductive conclusions. The lower self contains the conscience it depends on the 5 physical senses and is able to use telepathy.

The Middle self: The conscious reasoning rational self. This self is fully conscious and reasoning but is not the seat of memory in the Huna View. It has imagination and will and instructs the conscience. The middle self is the ordinary part the day to day mundane self. It is also the only part that can do wrong (sin). The only wrong Huna acknowledges is to willfully cause pain or hurt to a person, being, another including one's self.

The High self: The Super conscious the God self or soul. The High self brings all desired things into reality. The high self is trustworthy and wise. It has intuitive Knowing of the past, present and the fixed part of the future and future possibilities. The High self communicates with the Higher powers and other High selves.

The most important thing is that the three parts work together in harmony. They must be strongly connected and able to communicate with each other. When the three selves are in perfect harmony that is when our lives go beautifully and when seeming miracles happen.

Huna Ancient Wisdom of Hawaii (English)

Is HUNA a religion? --- Not really. I know people of many faiths, including "Christianity," who practice HUNA because of Max Freedom Long's imperfect understanding of Hawaiian spirituality and culture. My spirituality is along the lines of the American Indians, but I pray Hawaiian (because the Hawaiians had effective prayer down to a science.).
