Astral projection is the ability to separate one's consciousness from the confines of the physical body, enabling one to travel vast distances through time and space and then return safely.
Once separated, the possibilities in this spirit-like form are endless, as there are no restrictions in the means of locomotion as are present in the physical body. You may choose to walk, glide, fly or even think yourself to a location simply by imagining the place you want to be.

Unter Außerkörperlicher Erfahrung verstehen wir eine Erfahrung, derzufolge wir in einem anderen nicht-materiellen Körper zu existieren scheinen (ein unglücklicher, nichtssagender Begriff, weshalb ich zumeist OBE = out-of-body-experience bevorzuge). Dieser Zweitkörper wird gefühlt und ertastet wie unser materieller Körper und

verfügt scheinbar auch über dessen Möglichkeiten der 'Sinneswahr-nehmung'. Ja, es gibt sogar noch einige zusätzliche Wahrnehmungsmöglichkeiten, wie z.B. Raum- Form-Empathie. Ob es einen solch postulierten Körper im feinstofflichen bzw. transzendenten Sinne gibt oder ob er nur ein Produkt unseres Gehirnes ist, darüber streiten sich die Gemüter. Ich fühle mich nicht berufen für irgend einen Standpunkt Partei zu ergreifen, wenngleich ich für Auslegungen im Sinne Transzendenz eine Sympathie hege.
